Work management software

The one tool that replaces the nine tools you bought to replace meetings.

Every work tool promises to end the sprawl, then integrates with all of it. So does Ninthtab. We just say so.

How it started

Priya Castellane counted her tabs one Tuesday.

The ninth tab was a tab for tracking tabs.

She closed it. Then she opened it again to log that she had closed it. Ninthtab took three years.

The nine tools

Ninthtab replaces eight tools. It also connects to all eight, so you keep them.

Eight integrations, shipped on day one, because that is the first thing a buyer asks for.
So the count is still nine.

One of the nine reads the other eight and says what moved. None of them ever did that for each other.

What it does

Four things happen when you use it.

Tasks

You type a task. When it reaches Done, whoever asked gets one message. Not a notification, a digest and an email about the digest.

Write the Q3 roadmap Done
1 message sent to Marcus. 0 notifications. 0 digests.
A task has three fields. We tested a fourth. Completion fell 11 percent.

The reader

Ninthtab reads your chat overnight and finds the four messages in 300 that held a decision. The other 296 stay put.

priya thursday is worse
marcus fine, Mondays at 9 then, and we stop sending the Friday one Decision
Right 83 percent of the time. The rest is usually Marcus agreeing to something as a joke.

The Monday report

At 9:00 every Monday, Ninthtab writes the status report from what moved. Nobody writes it. Nobody is reminded to read it.

Monday report · 2026-09-28 · 140 words
Moved: 6. Done: 4. Slipped: 1, the calendar question.
Nothing else happened. This is the whole report.
Last week's was 140 words, because that is how much happened.

The meeting prompt

Create a meeting and Ninthtab asks what decision it will produce. If you can't name one, it offers a task. 61 percent take the task.

4,218 meetings turned into tasks. The rest went ahead, and most were fine.

Pricing

Three plans. The middle one is the one.

Solo and Enterprise exist so that Team looks reasonable.

Every pricing page works this way. We would rather say so.

Changelog

What changed this year, including the part we changed back.

  1. 2026-02-124.0.3

Outage, 131 minutes. A certificate expired. The reminder was in a calendar we had replaced.

  2. 2026-04-074.1

The Monday report now ignores tasks created and completed in the same minute. People liked the sound.

  3. 2026-06-234.2

Moved the Archive button to the bottom left of each card, where the cursor already is. Eleven months of research.

  4. 2026-07-024.2.1

Moved the Archive button back. Nine days of email.

  5. 2026-09-154.3

Dark mode is now the only mode. 97 percent of you had it on. The rest have been written to.

158 minutes missing. 131 of them were one Thursday in February. The other 27 produced no email.

Questions

Questions people ask on the demo call.

Does it replace our chat tool?

No. It reads it. Turn chat off and decisions move to the comments of a spreadsheet, and nothing reads those.

How long does migration take?

An afternoon for the data, six weeks for the habit. Around week five people stop updating the old tool, because nobody noticed.

What if we leave?

You export a spreadsheet and a folder of documents. We know how that sounds. Four minutes, no retention call.

Why is it called Ninthtab?

The tabs. We considered a name with "one" in it, which was honest about the ambition and wrong about the result.

Open one more tab.

The ninth is Ninthtab, which makes it, technically, the tab for tracking tabs.

Priya has made her peace with that. The trial asks for an email, not a card.
